“IT security is an ingrained part of our DNA, and now we have the certification to prove it,” says Guðrun Poulsen, CEO. Økisnavn.fo is now ISO 27001:2022 certified.
ISO 27001:2022 is one of the most recognized international standards in IT security management and governance. This certification ensures that Økisnavn.fo has sufficient management and procedures in IT security. The certification also confirms that Økisnavn.fo meets the stringent requirements in development, server operations, customer service, and network and hosting infrastructure.
In addition to being a guarantee of security, ISO 27001 is also a tool and a guide that Økisnavn.fo uses to conduct risk assessments. As cybercriminals become increasingly clever, it is necessary to be proactive and identify potential vulnerabilities in good time.
“Our primary task is to secure and develop Faroese domain names, which currently number around 8,500. Securing the Faroese part of the internet is an important and responsible task that we take very seriously,” explains Guðrun Poulsen.
