Regulations for Domain Name Renewal<\/strong><\/summary>\n\u00d8kisnavn.fo cannot guarantee that a domain name will be renewed. It is your responsibility to ensure that the renewal payment is made before the payment deadline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before expiration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
\u00d8kisnavn will send a reminder email to the registrant at the following times:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n- 30 days before the domain name expires<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- 7 days before the domain name expires<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- 1 days before the domain name expires<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- 5 days after the domain name expires<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Your domain name cannot be transferred to another domain registrar if the transfer is requested less than 7 days before the domain name expires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the expiration date<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
If you have not paid to renew the domain name, \u00d8kisnavn will take the following steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n- The day after the domain name expires, we will place the domain name on hold, and the website will become inactive.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- 44 days after the domain name has expired, it will be placed in “Pending Delete” status and enter a waiting period.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Between 74 and 77 days after the domain name has expired, it will be deleted and will no longer appear in your account. The domain name will be publicly released and available for others to register.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
